Library Updates July 2020

Hello Patrons!

Our Curbside service is up and running! Find out all the details including: health and safety precautions we’re taking to protect you and our staff, information about returning items and due dates, and how to place items on hold for pickup. You can see all of the information in the flyer below.

Our Summer Reading Contest and Program kicks off this week. Our Summer Reading Program is kicking off and will run through the end of August. As always the program is open to everyone – children, teens and adults. This year all 30 libraries in Ulster County have a shared summer reading program with bingo cards using reading and art/STEM challenges for kids, as well as one for teens and one tailored to adults. Click on our Summer Reading Program button on the homepage to be taken to all the info about the program and contest.

Also, I want to mention Phoenicia & Pine Hill Libraries are partnering with the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley this summer. We can provide free weekly bags of groceries to any child (under 18 years of age) and their families. Included are pantry staples (pasta, beans), fresh veggies, milk, cheese, eggs, and some frozen things like fruit cups and chicken strips. If you are interested, or know of a family who could benefit from this, please call let us at 845-688-7811 or hit “reply” to this email. If you prefer to get groceries in Pine Hill please call Gisi at (845) 254-4222.

And as we have been doing for the past several months we have lots of online programs happening throughout the month. We hope you’ll check in on our website and our Facebook page ( to see what we have to offer in July!
