Contest Rules
This contest is open to contestants ages 5-24. There will be three categories of submission: poetry, fiction, and creative non-fiction. Contestants may submit only one entry, which must be an individual project—no collaborative work will be accepted.
There are four age groups, with all three writing categories included in each:
- Ages 5-9, fiction, poetry, and non-fiction
- Ages 10-14, fiction, poetry, and non-fiction
- Ages 15-18, fiction, poetry, and non-fiction
- Ages 19-24, fiction, poetry and non-fiction
Contestants must fill out the Entry Form and attach it to their submissions. All entries are due on Friday, July 5th by 6pm. Please drop off entries to the
Phoenicia Library or mail to:

There will be three winners from each age group. Winners will be given a prize and have their work displayed at the Phoenicia Library. Winners will be notified the week of August 5th.
